From Friday 20th August Belmont Filmhouse moved gently to 1m distancing in our cinema screens. This change is to give customers more flexibility in choice of seating, within our allocated pod system, which continues for your comfort and safety. We’ll be keeping this measure in place for now.

Scottish Government regulations continue to require everyone to wear a face covering whilst in the cinemas and while moving around the building. You can only remove your face covering if eating and drinking. Please observe these rules to while in our cinemas and enjoying our films. Scottish Government regulation also still requires us to take customer contact details for Test and Protect.

We want you to know that we’ll continue to approach all our decisions with the wellbeing of our staff and customers in mind. Although, for now, most indoor restrictions have now been lifted by Government, we’ll continue to take our remaining measures seriously until we feel it appropriate to take further steps. We appreciate your support and patience.

  • Please wear a face covering in the cinema screens, within our foyers and while moving around the building. You have to continue to wear your mask while watching the film but can take them off if you’re eating or drinking.
  • We are operating a socially distanced seating plan in our screens, using 'pods' designed to keep separate households 1m apart.

  • We have clear social distancing signage and floor markings in place to keep you right.

  • Plastic protective screens our installed at our service points.

  • We have lots of hand sanitiser throughout the building.

  • We’ll ask you to use contactless payments for drinks and snacks.

  • Everything is cleaned thoroughly and regularly.

  • Our HVAC ventilation is 100% fresh air – that means air is not recirculated through our building.

  • Please note that many of our staff members have not yet had their vaccinations. Please be considerate of this and continue social distancing when you move around the building.

  • There is reduced capacity in the cinemas and little queuing space in our building please book tickets online in advance. Don’t hesitate to call us if you’re having any issues.
