The Fokus Film Festival, now in its fifth year, is a partnership between Goethe-Institut and Filmhouse. We aim to present a diverse and engaging selection of recent German cinema, covering a range of themes and genres.

We are happy to be screening Bauhaus Spirit as our opening film, celebrating 100 years of the Bauhaus Architecture School. 2019 also marks thirty years of the fall of the Berlin Wall; two of our titles look at Germany during this period (Gundermann; Adam and Evelyn) and offer contrast to each other in tone and sentimentality.

Films provided to us by the Goethe-Institut are offered at a reduced ticket price.
