Belmont Filmhouse is committed to inspiring the next generation of audiences and filmmakers and in enhancing the audience's understanding of film and the moving image.  It does this through its learning programme as well as the regular cinema programme.

This currently includes year-round screenings for primary and secondary pupils (with supporting resources linked to the Curriculum for Excellence), partnership events with local colleges and universities, filmmaking workshops and networking events for local filmmakers.
