Development Officer

We’re looking for someone confident, passionate and pro-active to join our Development team and play a key role in driving our strategy forward.

The Centre for the Moving Image incorporates the world’s longest continually running film festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, as well as Scotland’s two leading independent cinemas, Filmhouse, Edinburgh, and the Belmont Filmhouse in Aberdeen.

Based in our Edinburgh office, you will contribute to the delivery of our income generation targets, developing and managing relationships with existing and potential donors, funders and sponsors, promoting the work of the CMI and seeking support for its programmes, projects and activities.
The right candidate will have experience in a sales or fundraising role, a flexible approach, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and multi task while working under pressure.

Salary: Up to £23,000, dependent on experience

Head of Education and Learning

The Centre for the Moving Image incorporates the world’s longest continually running film festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, as well as Scotland’s two leading independent cinemas, Filmhouse, Edinburgh, and the Belmont Filmhouse in Aberdeen.

We are seeking a new Head of Education and Learning to develop, shape and deliver education and learning programmes across the CMI, inspiring and engaging people of all ages.

You will be passionate and knowledgeable about cinema, understand film and film education, and be knowledgeable of Scotland’s education system. You will have experience in developing partnerships, managing large scale projects and programmes, and in developing the broadest range of audiences for the broadest range of films

Salary: c£32,000

Location: This job is located in Edinburgh, but will require regular travel to Aberdeen, and the ability to travel within Scotland and the UK

Job Type: Full time, permanent

Chair

The Board of the Centre for the Moving Image (CMI) is looking to recruit a new Chair to lead the board and support the executive deliver against the organisation’s ambitions over the next four years. You will have demonstrable credibility and authority at a senior level within the Scottish, UK and international film and moving image sector and/or proven ability to work effectively in a political environment at a senior level within Scotland and/or the UK, with sufficient weight and personal authority.
